It was a cold winter afternoon and you've been in bed since the time you fell asleep the day before. You shiver and pull the blankets over your head. Suddenly, your cell begins to vibrate, you roll over and grab your cell; examining it you yawn and rub your eyes "Argh, what does he want now?" You push a button and open the text message to reveal the message; it reads "Sorry to bug you but I need you to pick me up, my car broke down." You groan and text back "Alright, give me a minute. Where are you?" Your door bell rings; you get up and slowly walk to the door, unlock it and open it up.
Standing in the doorway is a tall, 18 year old boy with black hair cut playfully at the ears, and beautiful green/blue silverish eyes with pale skin and a frustrated look upon his face. You step back and invite him in; shutting the door behind him as he walks in and takes a seat on the couch. "I thought your car broke down?" You say as you take the empty seat next to him. "I said that to see if you were awake." You look at him as he continues on "I didn't want to wake you if you were asleep." You look back down and say in a mumble "So, what do you want?"
Shifting his body towards you he wraps his arms around you and whispers "I want to be with you, Becky." Still looking down, you smile. For you have been waiting for days for when he'd confess. "I love you, Becky." He hugs you tightly. You begin to stroke his arm and whisper back "I love you too, Max." The both of you sit on the couch holding each other for a few minutes. Hoping that this moment never ends; his cell begins to ring.
He answers it "Hello?....ok....alright...but....oh, understood..bye." As he hangs up the phone, you ask "So you have to leave?" He looks at you and strokes your cheek "I do but I’m not leaving you." You look at him "So why now?" He gives you a confused look and strokes your hair "What do you mean?" Your heart starts to get heavy in your chest; you can't help but think that he's up to something. "Why now do you decide to tell me? I've liked you since 6th grade!"
He avoids your gaze. "I wanted to earlier but i was too shy. Trust me; it wasn't easy for me to tell you now. I've always loved you, Becky." You don't say anything. He grabs your arm and pulls you into his lap, obeying you sit on his lap and lean back on his torso. He strokes your hair and kisses your cheek.
"You're taking this awfully quick."
He pauses
"Would you like me to stop?"
He moves his hands around to the front of your stomach, hugging you tightly; enjoying it too much you wish you never said anything.
"....no"
You close your eyes and begin to drift off to sleep...You last thoughts before you fall asleep. "This is too good to be true."
